about

Hi there, I’m Anna Sophia. I’m a mum, a wife and I like to create things that make me happy in hope that it might make someone else happy too!

It started when I was little, my grandmother taught me to make clothes. Then as time passed I got into drawing and painting a little bit more and sewing fell by the way side and I decided to go to art college.

I earned a bachelor of design from Ontario College of Art & Design for advertising and while there I had a part time job at Ikea. It turns out advertising was not for me (though I do appreciate a good ad) and I fell in love with home furnishing and interior design. Though I no longer work at Ikea, it was there that my love for sewing was rekindled.

We would sew cushion covers for our roomsettings from the many textiles we would sell. Doing this was one of my favourite parts of the job. From choosing the fabric to the actual construction of the piece. I liked it so much I thought “I want to do this when I get home too!” My husband picking up on this got me a sewing machine for my birthday a few years ago and I’ve been using it non-stop since!

Along with cushion covers I like to make useful and fun things for baby ( since I have a little boy of my own now) like bibs, toy/pacifier tethers, diaper bags and totes for mom or dad among other things. I choose textiles that make me happy and that I would want in my own home, I’m particular about quality (that’s the Virgo perfectionist5 in me), everything is prewashed and professionally finished so nothing comes loose and will last a long time.

Thanks for dropping by and hopefully you’ll continue to be interested by and follow me in my creative adverntures!
